On 23rd February we received a letter from the Chief Executive of the Specialist Schools and Academies Trust telling us that our school was one of the top 5 business and enterprise colleges in the country based on our pupils' results in the 2009 examinations. The day before we received a letter inviting us to join the business and enterprise 'Innovation' group - limited to 15 schools nationally - in recognition of the outstanding provision in our school.
This news comes soon after the Minister for Schools, Vernon Coaker, wrote to congratulate us on being the 29th most improved school in the country for improvement in examination results between 2006-2009.
